Need peer to peer download on steam

Need peer to peer download on steam
During busy times to release a Mac version TF2, the players constantly "Server too busy" errors and super-slow download speed when trying to download games via Steam. I would love to see an option to download peer-to-Peer Steam integrated as an option. This would be a great assist with download speeds on busy days and could also save the valve of a ton of money on bandwidth. If implemented properly, it would be perfectly safe and secure. Please Valve, consider P2P download.

I have no problem with this as it is completely optional. If I download from a server in Australia vapor content, count against my monthly usage. So if this method became a requirement P2P download steam account for my monthly download limit.

Bit Torrent has some real benefits, and there is nothing better to relieve the traffic at peak times, such as relays of the entire system that charges users to get really fast speeds. Only one problem i can foresee, which is the subject of planting. Steam can not DL, while its playing a game for obvious reasons, and the Bittorent system requires users to follow "Share" after the DL is finished to see how the lizard is DL game to play, I do not see anyone go to seed once the DL is finished.

Bittorent does not require seed, it is only faster if available. The only requirement for a Bittorent download to complete is that among all peers in the swarm, the entire file is available. Do not stop you have to have the whole thing. In any case, steam is applied, there will be seeds: content servers. P2P would be completely additive, helping to relieve pressure at peak times due to the amount of extra bandwidth P2P offers scales up linearly with the number of people downloading.

As selection we would greet, though I personally only use direct steam download for security reasons, I hope more steam from a random seeder.

This would be ambitious. If applied should be an option, however, as some ISP restrict p2p traffic. of course it should be optional. And, of course, only people who contribute bandwidth must benefit from the system.
