How to build your currently playing in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Well, after playing through the first 5 hours like 4 times now, I've settled on a male single handed sword and shield using Nord, however I think I'm going to make a female destructive High Elf mage too, as I kind of miss being able to use magic too.

I'm playing a male Nord Battle-Mage at the moment. Generally, I'll strategically lay down some runes then attack from afar with dual wield destruction spells. For close encounters, I have an axe/shield combo. Focusing On: One-handed, Heavy armor, Smithing, Alchemy, Destruction, Restoration, Block

A whole mess of things. As a thief, I have low health. I was mostly using one sword and a destruction spell, occasionally rotating to bow, but I'm getting destroyed. Up close and personal + weak health + inability to block = instant-death by charging two handed warrior.

Re: How to build your currently playing in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
am currently pressing one with my nord warrior simply because combat is excruciatingly hard and enveloping (I always play elder scrolls and all rpg's on max difficulty), am also noticing that this character is VERY weak at start but much stronger as he gains perks/gear/skill ups, enemies that 5 levels ago were one-two shooting me I am now tanking two of them with well placed shield blocks and bashes for example. still have to check out more of the "sniper" character after to check out what I so far see is a great AI improvement from other TES in matters of sneaking and assassination. my main is caster as well, but I just need to check out the other stuff first and learn, one thing I know very important from playing then ord, is ice will be my main spells on the hot binds. power attacks are nasty... specially without a shield and its perks.

I am playing a Nord who specializes as a craftsmen. Blacksmithing is easily one of the most enjoyable aspects of the game. Currently level 20 with about that many hours in the game. Dual-wield Swords, Heavy Armor, Enchanting and Blacksmithing - its pure gaming bliss. The combination of dungeon crawling, questing, exploring, crafting and bartering is balanced exquisitely.

Female Nord, uses a magical Orcish Great sword and magical Ancient Nordic Bow. Two Handed Weapon, Archery and Heavy Armor specialist with a small sideline in Blacksmithing. Will probably end up being a master at restoration magic though considering all the healing I have to do.

Re: How to build your currently playing in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
As I have the strategy guide, what I've found myself doing, is completing all the side quests in the starting cities, before moving on to the story quest, I'm yet to kill my first dragon on this character, however I'm allowed further on in the levels than I was on my previous characters, who had killed their first dragon a good amount of time before. Since getting the game, I've seen myself lying in bed for hours after turning off the Xbox, just reading through the strategy guide.

2h warrior. Level 17 and Primary skills: Smithing, Heavy Armor, 2h. secondary: I really don't any and am sitting on 2 unused perks all the time it seems, kind of conflicted on what to do. Playing on expert with crafted gear and some enchantments. Been pretty easy except my first encounter with a frost troll and a few random bandit chiefs have proven to be quite capable of 3 shooting me. Other than that though I’m really enjoying the build, my only issue is that i can't seem to pick a secondary perk tree to go with since I’m very narrow in my scope of Gameplay in terms of what i do and what i use.

First of all, shout out to all my Dunmer brethren. Basically I'm completely balanced. My hp, steam, and magicka, are all 160. I wear Elven armor, all enchanted in destruction bonuses. My one handed, marksman, destruction, restoration, and block are very tide close together around 50. I've taken on groups of 8 bandits and managed just fine. And if I really start to struggle, then I go werewolf. I honestly haven't used a shout yet. No reason to.

As i do with all Elderscrolls games in my first playthrough i play Dunmer focussing on 1h, archery and destruction, also the fire resistance comes in handy when fighting dragons, the first MQ dragon tried to grill me with its flame...i just stood there and pierced it with arrows while yawning
