How will be the Character Naming System in Dungeons And Dragons Neverwinter
I have came across this game called “Dungeons And Dragons Neverwinter” and what I wanted to know is that will there be any kind of restriction in the giving the first name as I have heard that the game will be becoming the single server I mean in the DDO the popular names were already chosen by others and I wonder when we can use first names in the RL setting then why can’t we use it in the game as well. I am not sure about the restriction thing but I have heard about it so I just wanted to know from you all if anyone is having a idea about it. Any suggestion will be appreciated.

As far as I have think that there will be some multiple characters having different names in the CO and the STO. So it is likely to be the same way as that of the NWOl. I have also heard that they will be giving our character a name as per our account name and because of which all the players will be able to use any name for their character no matter it has been taken by someone else your account name will make it unique to get identified and they will also be including (') in character names. Let’s see if it really happens so and they come up with what they have been saying.

I have came across the Champions Online and Startrek Online where they handle their account as character name followed by the account name e.g. “Charactername@Accountname”.So even if there are a no of people with the same name they all will be unique because of their account name. In normal case the interface only displays the character name but when you want to search for a particular person then you can track him with the full. The same will be in the Dungeons and Dragons Neverwinter game. Hope that the character naming is cleared now. Hope that helps.

Yes this method will be good at least I wont see the fake names like Vuvuzela, Deucebhag Von Deuceldorf ,Donald Duck, Tom Cruise, Justin Bieber and etc .I just want to say that this is a role-playing game and the name of the character should be unique and not like the very common name of the celebrities and from any movie names etc.I think that there should be some sort of thumbs up or thumbs down feature for the character name as well and when a character get a no of thumbs down then he or she should be said to change the character name or they should be given random generated names this method will be really help to give a flexibility to the character creation’s just wish if they could really add things like this only if the fan of these games do not have a problem with this method.
