Candidate of Windows 7, a new version of its forthcoming operating
system, reserved for a community of accredited testers, appeared on
the download BitTorrent networks. Stamped in 7048, this build,
according to the names of the files made available, was compiled on 19
February. For now, only the 64 bit versions of the system are shared,
but the user at the origin of the leak that he will soon line the 32
bit versions. Officially, users have instant access to that beta 1 of
the system, which corresponds to the build 7000.
Quite a few are new to the program of this new version, which did not
prevent more than 16,000 people already start the download. Among
other things, we can see a new animation in the Start menu, new icons
for applications like Paint or Calculator, an overhaul of the taskbar
to enable it to accommodate a larger number of applications, or mild
changes in Windows Media Player. The Release Candidate is expected to
make its appearance around the month of April.
