Windows XP To Live Until May 2009

Windows XP goes more to die. Microsoft has granted a stay of its operating system, whose marketing with new PCs for businesses was stopped on 31 January 2009. Finally, the fateful date was postponed to May 30, 2009.
The publisher has informed its partners, resellers and integrators wholesalers by mail in early December. The delivery of Windows XP will continue so until the end of May, but customers will have to be ordered before 31 January 2009. This is according to Microsoft to offer more flexibility.

Thirteen years (loyal) services

The decision concerns the business market. The general public, he is entitled to a preferential since the emergence of the Netbook. These super machines will benefit from Windows XP Home until 30 June 2010.
The marketing of boxed operating system has however ceased since 30 June 2008. Support for Windows XP (updated by Windows update) will be provided until April 2014, almost thirteen years after the beginning of the marketing of the operating system. A record of longevity.
